U.S. Marines “kill 400 Taliban” in Afghan operation

KABUL (Reuters) - U.S. Marines have killed more than 400 Taliban since they began an operation to seize a district in southern Afghanistan in May, their commander said on Wednesday.

A fighting force of some 2,200 U.S. Marines deployed to Afghanistan earlier this year to make up for shortfalls in troops that Washington failed to persuade other NATO allies to fill.

The Marines moved into Garmsir district, in the southern province of Helmand, in late April, taking up positions east of the river that cuts through the desert region, and in early May began a fierce fight to push Taliban militants west and south.

“The Taliban proved that they wanted to fight for Garmsir and we took the fight to them and inflicted very serious casualties,” Colonel Peter Petronzio, the U.S. Marine commander in Afghanistan, told a news conference. Read the rest of this entry »

Well here we are again, another insider book, and a stream of “no it did not happen that way.” Well many of us who had an ounce of scense knew there were no weapons of mass destruction, and we knew this was a war started for politicial gain. Without this war, and the constant massaging of 9/11, to keep America on edge, and the most stupid president in recent history tricked himself into a second term. No the book does not accuse this “NUTT” of trickery in the election campaign, but again clear thinking individuals know there was trickery in both New Mexico, and Ohio. Obama, Clinton, McCain

For me , none of them have the full credentials to be President of this fine screwed up country that the Bush administration has put us in.

• McCain plays the P.O.W. card too much, and like the majority of Americans say “Its like having Bush for a 3rd Term and going down hill even more. Besides whats his wife hiding ? Got to be something good for the money , and how is her past going to help the present?
• Obama, only thing that concerns me is the Muslim religion and how he is going to play that card. Bad enough we don’t have prayer in school or the Pledge of Allegiance, now we are going to embrace the Koran ?
• Clinton, well she’s a little bit better, now that she and Chelsea have gotten there plastic surgery and things are looking up. Her personal attacks and outlandish campaigning tactics leave allot to be desired.

What is Bush and the rest of the government hiding?

You know you read this news everyday and it just makes me think of what is actually going on? Being former military and knowing that the government tells you what you think you want too hear is not always the truth. Iraq was supposed to pay for itself per-say through the oil. I dont know about you but I sure as hell have not seen or read about this happening yet. Did I miss something?

News channels like to tell you there concerened but there only concerned about there ratings and thats about it. If any news correspondent would read this and prove me wrong I’d love to hear, better yet lets film it and put it out for the whole world to see. 9/11 brought to you by the bush administration, at least thats my theory and I have not read, or seen anything to prove me wrong along with millions of others in the world, not the US but the world. Google is your friend and you can find the same as I did by using this wonderful tool. Also where are the tapes from the pentagon? You know which ones I am referring too, nope have not seen those show up either. Probably destroyed or there in the area 51 containment area.

All of these movies that we have all seen such as the “ERASER” and such, do you really think the hollywood made them up?
